The Yellow Dress; Domestic Violence Awareness Month

VALDOSTA - Valdosta State University and Moody Air Force Base will host "The Yellow Dress" from 7-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, in the Bailey Science Center.

Written by Deborah Lake Fortson and originally produced by Sydney Hayes Patton, the performance confronts the issues of dating and domestic violence by telling the story of Deana Brisbois - a story she is no longer alive to tell.

Mrs. Frances Elmore, the sexual assault response coordinator from Moody AFB, and Leah McMillan, a VSU counselor who specializes in assault issues, are presenting the play for free to all members of the VSU and local communities. Contact Elmore at 560-5085 or McMillan at 333-5940 for more information.
