VSU Student Life Hosts Concert on the Front Lawn Feb. 19

Pictured is the Redshirt Freshmen Band, a cover band from the outskirts of Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, Ala., who will perform a variety of music from the 80s and 90s to today’s top 40 hits, hip-hop, rock, classic rock, country, and more.

VALDOSTA – The Office of Student Life at Valdosta State University will host a concert on the front lawn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19. Admission is free of charge. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend.

The featured act is the Redshirt Freshmen Band, a cover band from the outskirts of Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, Ala., who will perform a variety of music from the 80s and 90s to today’s top 40 hits, hip-hop, rock, classic rock, country, and more.

Robin Vickery, director of Student Life and the Student Union, said the Office of Student Life hopes this will be the beginning of a series of concerts for the Blazer family to enjoy.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and games, blankets, snacks and beverages. Glass containers are not permitted.

In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the Student Union Ballrooms.
